Lovely work everyone!

I only have one bead to show this week, as I haven't made much at all at the weekend with Gemma being so poorly..... but I have to say that I am very very pleased with the way it's turned out!!

I have been making lots of huge beads after the class with Carla - these are a lot bigger than they look!

Kaz I love your lentils!  Rachel, I can but drool at your beads and Jennie...... How?  How do you do that?

There are lots more to admire and I shall be back again early tomorrow hoping to others.

For today here are a couple of mine.

I had another go at a figure at the weekend.

I really can't do legs the way Lucio does! Also, I'm making them too small for the rest of it if I begin with them - I need to be organised enough to plan what I want to do and get reference ready before I start... For the arms too - I get to the shoulders and then get lost. This figure's got cracks all over it - at some point when I was doing the arms, the lower torso got too near the flame and they've spread throughout. It is definitely better than the ones I've made before, though.

Other things: I made a hand-shaped heart (wasn't going to be, but then I started it too far down on the mandrel to use my tong press). It's kalypso.

I got something out of dark silver brown! First time I didn't overheat it. Now, if I could manage a whole set...
