Lots of yummy scrummy beads!

I have another necklace to show. There's 30 glass rings in this necklace which can be worn long or double wrapped as in the picture

and I was really pleased with this focal, front and back shots. Just wish I could have got a better picture, it doesn't really show the sparkle

Before the week comes to a close, I want to show you my first bead set. There's a special story to it.

I'm going to give them to the person I bought my hothead torch from. When I bought the torch, she gave me a lot of other lampworking stuff (she was quitting the hobby), and I still have a lot of glass that used to be hers. The glass was mostly black/white/grey and brownish colours, because she liked neutral and natural colours. I also got some frit mixes. So I decided to make a bead set using only glass I got from her and that I would send it to her as a present :) I know she will like it, because she still makes a lot of jewellery.

It is a mix of frit beads, two beads with (quite terrible) stringer decorations (need to PPP!) and one chrysanthemum bead that turned out really pretty in my opinion. Sadly, one of the beads has broken (no kiln yet :( ), so I need to make a new one. Perhaps I'll add a couple more brown beads in the process :)

Well it's been a while since I posted anything and I've chosen to join in a stunning gallery, ah well.

I finally found something to make with all the leaves I've felt compelled to make, I think it's a bit of an addiction tbh ???

Linda, you are rocking those glass circles, lovely!
Kaz, love everything you make, always.
Susan, your silver glass work is beautiful.
Sandy, not surprised your beads won, they are gorgeous.
Dinah, that is a spctacular piece, your wirework spirals are so neat!!  :o

I just made one simple set this week as I am still a bit short on inspiration at the moment.  The middle band is Trade Winds.. all colours are over clear:

amazing work everyone...Dinah's leaf necklace is fabulous,  such a stunning design, and beautiful leafy earrings too Spexy.
Beautiful spoon, would make a lovely gift. Gorgeous colours in the nuggets Helen...and Madeline, the owl is very lovely and 'wantable' indeed! Really enjoyed reading your blog too.

Autumn is indeed in the air, I've been back to my favourite stripey beads, making discs in Autumn colours.

Hope you don't mind me posting these so late in the week, have been experimenting for a while and now getting the hang of these. Had a weekend a while ago with Di East making crinoids and encasing, have been madly making canes since and finally getting some results, although using them for wee cabs at the mo.

The blue cab at the bottom with the red stamen was from a piece of cane made by Di-I can't claim it as totally mine !

Ok, I'm now going to ruin all the sheepish fun by posting some picture of other beads.  Apologies to those of you who've already seen them on Facebook:
