Been practicing hollows which I've never really been able to get to grips with but something clicked this week. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I am going  :) Coz I really like making them, I'm not sure I've quite got it right but I'm really enjoying making these  :) Kaz's Murrini btw  ;)

So here they are, murrini encrusted hollows, but should I etch them ??? ???

I really want to but they took me so long to make I don't want to ruin them, I've done a test bead so you can see what it would look like....

Honest Opinions please. Kate xxx

Some more  :)

So many lovely beadies so far!

Here are some leaves I've been working on recently :D  (same set - different backgrounds/lighting)

Kalorlo

Here's what I was doing last week:

CiM spacers with my sample pack

Faux boro

Two faux boro tries - the first is by melting in iris gold frit to a straw yellow rod and winding on directly then encasing, the second is a clear core with a straw yellow with iris gold stringer wound on top, then encased. (You can see some blues if you look at it side-on in person). I was wondering if that would cut down on the cola colour - not so much!

Opalinos and turquoise

Dark turquoise with black stringer - the diamond might need an encounter with some toilet cleaner  :P. Then we have carnelian, periwinkle and nile green opalinos. Pretty colours!

Flamingo

Light grey trans core, shaped into an oval with diagonal lines of black, anise white and carnelian opalino added, gravity swirled, reshaped and mashed. I'm rather pleased with these  ;D

dinah46

Well, as I haven't got my heart press at the moment and am holding a grooved marver ransom for it ;D these are what came out of the kiln this morning. I forgot to take a photo before making them up though ::)

SilverGems89

ok here's my offering from today, my very first (and second) goddess beads!
This is the first one, yes she is as tiny as she looks, only 13mm tall!

And the second one, which im so sooooo happy with! she's a bit bigger

Made them with the guidance of teresa laliberte's tutorial, which is fab!
Sorry for the poor pictures, i had to snap them really quick on the kitchen windowsil before it got too dark!

Trudi

great beads everyone. And that second Goddess has really come on!

Another vessel  - a plainish one - but it has mica powder at the bottom and black nebula rim and handles!

Dee Dee

The black nebula vessel is fab Trudi and I particularly like your second set Sally!

A couple of bits from me......

Some Psyche nuggets....

And some frittie beads....

Amazing S&T, I'm jumping in late the list of beautiful work it huge, all gorgeous.

Lampwork has come up trumps and satisfied my rather OCD like personality, I decided PPP as in order on the hollow front, now I'm obsessed with hollows  ;D  ;D Just keep making them, gradually working my way through the transparent shelf   :D So satisfying  :)

There's more but I'm hogging now  ::)

Hazer

I'm here to give you all an ego boost :D

This is about my 9th go at lampworking.

Fritties (frit supplied by June ;D)

LtoR
Accidentally bumpy bead (the gas froze whilst I was melting in dots), Raked dots bead, bead with bead release accents, dotty bead, and plain bead:

Don't they almost look like beads?  :P ;D
