ooo, I particularly like the ones at the bottom.  The scratchy nature of the vines....

When I went to the British museum a few years ago, they were showing us this rather elaborate piece that they had that kinda looked like a retirement gift carriage clock but inside were loads of enamelled angels guarding what was, at the time of making, thought to be a thorn (and it was about 4 inches long) from 'the' crown of thorns.  They said that one of the things that made this piece so incredible was that they'd managed to enamel a curved object.

I got Sal's vessel tutorial this week.  These are the two I managed.  I'll be honest I really struggled with the first one.  I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the glass wouldn't melt melty enough.



So yes,  I thought I would show it time to bring the mind boggling standard of this show and tell down to something more attainable   Also I think Bob might like it as a little beer keg

By the time I got halfway through the second one I had figured out what the problem was...



...I was running out of gas!  So at this point I was panicking a bit that I wouldn't finish it in time!  Hence it being a wee bit wobbly!  That some of the silver black,  I think it looks more like lead.

A real quick test of the Freeze N Fuse, when I was sposed to be doing other things...oops!  I haven't even cleaned them up and I have no idea what I'm going to do with them yet...



They are so thin, that the glass is actually quite transparent, which you don't normally get with this technique, but also makes them very fragile too!

Beautiful beads on here everyone!
I'm still practising the basics - got my hothead six months ago but it got rather neglected over the winter.
I'm pleased with these ones and now feel inspired again, especially after looking at all the fabulous beads on the Show and Tells!

I made a necklace a little while back.....and just got round to photographing it today.  I was inspired by Trish's gorgeous necklace on the cover of Beads & Beyond in March, and adapted it to just have a single strand.  The beautiful copper toggle clasp and rings are by George.

Still off mandral, I did this last week and only got it annealed safely this weekend, getting better at the flowers

As usual........stunning work...........well done everyone.

Here are some of my latest efforts......spent about 3/4 hours at the torch this week.  There were a few others, but the less said about them.........!


Some more of these little flowers - practising stacking dots and dot placement - the one at the top was the last and it shows.  I really enjoy making these.

Some encasing.  It would appear that transparent red is not that transparent - will try again but will put the yellows over the red.
