Lush!

Oh my, Keiara, I agree with everybody else - those are stunning!

Thanks to our lovely lovely Jolene who stayed up way past everybody's bedtime, I'm one of the lucky few to have some Striking Color glass.  This is my first play (well actually the very first ones aren't fit to be shown!)

Thought I'd show these, a simple little set that I really like and wish I hadn't sold and I don't have enuogh glass to make some more for me  :(

Hi

First beads I've posted.  Very much a beginner, bit intimidated by some newbie beads I've just seen.

:o How difficult is it to take photos of beads and post them!!!!!  Thank goodness for 11 year old sons.

I wanted to show these "1st attempts at..."

1st attempt at a lentil inspired by Pixiewillow's beads:

(I'm rather pleased with this - probably my best stringer work to date and I didn't get the white mucky.)

1st attempt at some sculptural flowers inspired by Julie's tutorial in B&B:

(Which reminds me - please don't advertise here if any of you lot get into B&B next month - you've cost me £7.90 I could have spent on glass in the last couple of months! ;) )

1st attempt at a Warring State bead inspired by An Afternoon with Larry Brickmanhttp://www.pacificpyros.org/LBrickman.html:

I was going through a phase of having my regulator wide open on my HH at the time and burnt the trans light blue dots and the trans dark blue base bead (would you believe that was blue - I had to hold it up to the light to remind myself!)

What do you think?

Hello All,
Thought that I would start things off this month. These are some beads that I have been playing about with trying to get the hang of Iris gold for that Faux Boro effect. I am still on my hothead and am now in week eight of being set up.

Great beads already. I love you mouse Becky. Les, gorgeous especially the mushroom. Lovely bead Julie. You've been busy Rachel, I really like the bottom set. Very pretty Mindy. Great lentils Helen. Love that blue set Sam, so pretty.

This is what I did yesterday.

Another selection of organics for a commission.

A set and focal made from Spectrum stained glass scraps.

Hey Veebee,

Lovin those long dangles! they would look great hanging in a window as light catchers!

Here is my offering from yesterday!

So many lovely things to comment on, I particularly love Les's caterpillars and the fingerbobs and as always I am blown away by everyone's brilliant stringer control. You would think after 3 years I would be able to wield a bit of stringer but I still can't get the hang of it lol :D Anyhow I did my first encased floral this week, bit wonky but I like it :D

some more silver cores too

Vicki

What a lovely cheerful S&T, you can tell the weather is getting nice  ;D
