Some lovely stuff here as per usual!

Not exactly new work, but I have been away from the torch for a long time and away from the Gallery for even longer. Tidied up my studio this week and found these:

They inspired me to have a bit of a play last night, first torch session in about a year  ;D

Oooh it's been a while since I've been in here! Got back to my torch yesterday after a few months recovering from more surgery - had so long to imagine what wonders I was going to make and I just reverted back to my favourite comfy slippers (metaphorically)

Hi

I'm a pretty sporadic visitor to the forum but I've made beads and discovered I can grab the whatsit from my iPad which makes posting photos easier so here are photos:

I'm working my way through Passing the Flame in an effort to improve my lampworking skills.

A clutch of dragon eggs sneaking over from the dark side:

If you see them together with the ones I posted recently in the boro area, you can see (going from 1 to 6) that I'm gradually getting bigger and bolder... These came out of a special request for larger eggs in peacock colours - now that's sorted I can start to play with some other colours.

Really? Wednesday and we haven't started a gallery? Okay, I have never been first before, but quite pleased that I have managed to master my new SS lentil press. Apologies if you've seen this elsewhere  ;D

Kaz

Nice lentil!
I've been practising stringerwork. Really feel I need to get to grips with it...but I am getting somewhere at last :-)

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Great bugs, Trudi. I have a niece called Beatrice - known as Bea - and I shall make sure she sees that picture!

My boro dragons are still laying... apologies if you've seen enough already, but making (and showing them off) is addictive! There's some nice dichroic and aventurine in a few of these which doesn't show in the photo. The four largest here have been reintroduced to the flame after annealing, to sort out a couple of flaws, to improve shape, and in one case for a fundamental reworking - then of course back in the kiln and fully annealed again. I've done this before with smaller pieces, but was pleased that it was successful with such big ones. The blue one on the left is my largest solid piece so far, about 68mm long until I reshaped it, now about 59mm... and there I think I'm finding the limits - with current firepower - not of what is possible, but of my patience!

Lovely beads guys ! :)

I treated myself to a tutorial by Donna Millard, and loved every minute of making these :)
