Out of interest, (might be a cheeky ask!) would it be possible to fit one of your doors onto an SC2?  Cos I have a right problem with my bead door, it's got bits dropping off and chunked out of it all over the shop, but can't afford a new kiln, so that would be the absolutely perfect solution.

Erm, not really sure about that. I guess where there is a will there is a way but I think this bead door is bigger than that os the SC2 so then you would have some butchering to do.

And there is the beauty of not having the Bead Cube controller attached to the kiln. I see no reason why the Bead Cube can;t get all sweaty on top of one of these. Even better if you made a little metal or ceramic stand to give the Bead Cube a little bit of space.
Try as much as it likes, the new kiln will not be able to heat the Bead Cube case anymore than the Bead Cube itself does

To be totally honest, I'm not sure exactly how big the bead door on an SC2. This one of ours is 193mm wide and the door will fully close with anything up to 10mm height of mandrels approximately. So it should be much more economical to the larger scale user.
