Oh and did I mention it is British???? ;)

Is it totally manufactured from all British components or assembled in Britain from foreign components ????
Ah very good question Bluebottle.
Every kiln made in Britain today is assembled in Britain with a mixture of components and parts from elsewhere. No kiln is made from all British components.
The bricks may be French, element wire Swedish, Fibre American, contactors Italian,  etc.
This kiln uses more outside "assistance" than normal I guess, but we have gotta be able to compete, however, it is assembled here, wired here using our wire etc, fitted with the Stafford made KCR1 controller here, tested and finished here.
By the letter of the law, it is made in Britain, it has a Kilncare manufactured CE certificate.
I guess we have moved along the same lines as we did with the Bead Cube

Will you make it in Pink perhaps? What is temp range of this kiln Lee ?

Looks great BTW.

I love the fact that the controller is built into it, so much neater and space efficient.   :)

Gordon

What is the projected cost expected to be ?

Lee - Kilncare

ah that is the final piece of the jigsaw. Obviously the SC2 will dictate how much we can get for this kiln, but it may be a little dearer than the SC2. ???

Looking forward to seeing the coat.  I do not have the money at present, but it will be a real considation point the fact it is British, also the size of the bead door.  Do we have picture of the one with a bead door yet ??

HH on Bulk,

Lee - Kilncare

We are just making a couple of adjustments to the bead door. I may get a photo up by the end of the day hopefully

COME ON LEE! I want to see it already!

Krysia@No98

It's got a flat bottom too so it can be used for fusing

Hi Krysia, I must admit to being totally baffled. What do you mean that the SC2 has a none-flat floor?????

Hi Lee

It slopes towards the door... or at least mine does so if I did get it into my head to do some fusing in it I'd end up with one side thicker then the other.

I guess they did it for some clever reason or another but I can't fathom it out!?!
