I felt like going back to the good old silvered ivory, and this is one of the results. 32mm across, using one of Maria-Louisa's presses.

Lovely swirls! You can see it well in the last piccie.
I have a bit of ekho (thank you for sharing  :)) and I love the purple - it's a very transparent pearly colour like aurae, shows what's underneath, whereas triton etc give a more heavy coverage.

not the best bead but shows the colour well..

I was making beads yesterday when the postman arrived with my new bead press, it is a large tab press.

So I made these.

Hard to get all the colours in the photo.

More beautiful beads  ;D ;D ;D

I'm liking your eckho Kathryn - I'm trying so hard to be good and stay away from it as I have so many things on my list to try but it is definitely calling to me  ::)

I ordered some Ekho too and waiting for it even more, when I see pics like these...

My torch time have been next to nothing this summer, but this week I have made beads! Here are couple of them. I used presses from Maria Louisa and the bigger one is huge: about 45 mm. It takes some time and glass, but then you have plenty of canvas to decorate! I like it (the press).

I have been playing with Bullseye reactions this week (glasses containing lead or copper against those containing sulphur or selenium):

Rushed the photos a bit, as I wanted to get them back in the kiln and fuse some bails on.

Some really CORRRRR!!!!!!! Beads here again this week! So much to drool over!

I tried making beads this week, but after the 9th one got bored of trying to make them all look the same and thought I'd 'quickly make a small marble.' An hour and half later I'd done with 30mm marble (probably biggest I've done so far)
