Katie, your hothead is broken.....getting strange results.....coincidence?

Just what I was going to say Shirley.

Katie - I read your post about your torch.  It seems likely that's the cause of your leaky pen problem.

Katiequiggle

Yes I'm wondering that too, only discovered the torch leak when I turned it on today,  It wasn't behaving badly yesterday though but I'm thinking it might be the cause.

I would agree it's the torch Katie, I did these on my HH, basically it turned out pretty much as it had started. The rod I had looked exactly like the one you've shown, same label too, and it was from Martin, it came as part of a CiM sample pack.

No Change basically.

But I did have a similar problem to you with my HH, the top part seemed to comea little loose sometimes, and when I'd light it the flame would be huge and bushy. My DH put some white electrical tape around the thread and then screwed the torch head back on, that seemed to do the trick.

Gorgeous beads Kate.   I tried putting PTF tape around the thread which is a sort of thin white tape that plumbers use to make a good seal on pipes but it didn't work, I might take it to a plumbers place and see if they can do anything with it, might get it welded or something, I'm sure I can live without it coming apart unless someone tells me otherwise.

Hi Katie,

I did these this morning on my HH and they look the same as the rod as well:

The left is leaky pen on its own, the middle is over white and on the right is over dirty martini,

Sorry the pictures not the best but I think you can see it ok,

Hope that helps,

Thanks Helen you're a star.  They look ok don't they.

HelenV

Katie,

They are dark but I guess thats how they should be. The nicest is over white, when you hold it to the light it is scrummy  :)

I hope you get your torch sorted soon x
