I seem to have a plague of dying oxycons around me, I will replace them with one decent 10l when funds allow, but in the meantime has anyone had any experience/heard of anyone adding any sort of chamber in line to act as a reservoir pressure chamber to even out the output of two or three oxys? At the moment I'm going from nice flow to sometimes a pulsing flame as the oxycons no longer what to work together  ??? ??? ??? ???

Hi Glenn
Bernard Stonor on Kangaroo Island Australia who I had a lesson with does this. He's in my FB friends list if you want to link up with him.

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

They call it a holding tank, usually. Quite a few people on LE have done it.

Yes, Also in Australia - Nudibranch Art  Glass - Chris and Laurie do it. Check out their Facebook page and talk to them maybe. They're really friendly people and can probably give you lots of info.

Thank you! I thought I'd heard of such a thing being done, but didn't know where to start looking, I shall investigate more (in-between bouts of kicking oxycons!)

PS You are pictured in todays John O'Groat today. Not everyone can say that! Along with other students from last week

I looked at them before and they worked out more expensive in the longer run, plus the safety issues.

My apologies to all the people in John O'Groats who've had to look at my ugly mug whilst trying to eat their breakfasts!  :D :D :D I knew I should have put on something smarter!

Or something like this? I keep reading things but haven't got round to converting anything to our 240v . Shame we can't get cheap big oxycons like they can over the pond.

I looked at homefill systems as well but again I've not found a uk supplier -  yet.

I currently run a mixed bag of 5/10Lpm machines t'eed up, but want to upgrade to a sidewinder/Bravo and keep wondering if my taped together babies will be up to the job.

Interesting! Although three M20 20ltr oxycons tied together  :o :o :o :o :o wow!

This might be of interest, it seems a much simpler set up and doesn't use a compressor so won't store up as much oxygen, but I think this would be helpful to even out the flow and provide a little extra 'umph' when needed. Sadly the pictures are all missing though, but a quick google of 'portable air tanks' brings up loads (although all in the USA) http://web.archive.org/web/20080610103205/http://www.treycornette.com/holdingtanktutorial.html
