Love that purple & green combo - truly scrumtious!
Gaynor, you are making loads of progress at the moment, fabulous work.

I've already posting my week's offerings in the Colour Challenge & Theme Challenge galleries, but here's something new - my first time trying some dichroic frit flakes from the USA... Hard to see in the photos, but this gives the beads flashes of fire like you get in opals:

Hi all, great start to the week. Looking forward to seeing those opalescent beads in person Helen. They look superb.

My contribution is a silver glass tutorial bead that I got the LE forum.

European charm bead in triton by Marklaird, on Flickr

Coil of triton silver glass (about 5 coils), reduced, and then blogs of clear on alternate sides (4 blobs per side), then melted down to form the European charm bead.

Photo doesn't really do it justice, so need to get some advice from everybody on how to photograph beads to bring out the best in them.

Some lovely pieces on here so far this week - I particularly love your dicro beads Helbels, I am a real fan of dichro and those a gorgeous!

I have been having lots and lots of fun making MASSIVE big hole beads!  I had a customer ask for a couple as a commission for a necklace and they are so fun to make, as its no holds barred, add as much glass as you like!

Sorry for the hog.

Helen G

Stephanie ... those clear cut lines you always get on your sandblasted beads always amaze me ... so perfect ! :)

I hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd just add a few recent(ish) bits, seen as I have been away for a while, and am not making as much as I'd like to at the moment ...

I made another dichro bead, both sides

and another slightly different owl, Still not happy with the eyes.

Those of you happy with dichro, am I getting the right side applied to the bead? I've forgotten how to tell.

The Tartan Trout

All lovely lovely lovely :)
I've been practicing my thin stringer work, that I was taught last weekend. Not quite as thin as it should be, but it's thinner than it was....diet stringer ;)
