I just love those beach huts, well all the pics and work this week.  I wonder why some of us are thinking about summer?  I made this on Sunday afternoon, on a rainy day when I could not walk on the beach because of the wet stuff...

Five hours stringing all my smallest beads together ... etching was the worst though!  Well worth the effort, and this is for my own personal use this summer :D

I havent been around for a while, so a bit rusty on the old bead front  :-\

Had another play with my skull press, they have a bit of  3CPO from Star Wars look about them!  :D

Some very fantastic work on here, need I say it?
Love the sand capsules so unusual and elegant and the beach huts best. Emerald, you will have to try harder than that to lower the tone.

I have done some more giggles. Not sure if they lower the tone or not?

What a fab show this week. I was taking notes so I could comment on everyone, but everything is so fab I ran out of space, so a few highlights...

Binty, excellent petal placement
Jane - loving the folk art chickens
Elaine - very elegant and stroke able
Christina - hot looking frit
Heather - lovely frit hearts
Sue - amazing clio

All the quirkiness is lovely.

Here's my offering this week, the first ones called Monet are very simple frit beads but have been used by Rebecca Anderson in her project in Beads and Beyond this month.

What a fantastic variety! I have these two to show, I have some silver glass focals too but they are still on their mandrels, need to get out to the studio and remove them!

Lovely stuff on here this week, but the turquoise ring topper has to be my favourite so far.

Here's what i've been doing in the last couple of days, well some of it.

Some of my last two day's work. by Princess Peggy1, on Flickr

This one is massive...45 x 44 x 10.  I didn't use a press, just hand shaped it with two marvers.

Lovely guys. A blue petal bead, a example I made from Julie's pansy tut, and a success with Fire Lotus.

I have to say, this weeks' work is outstanding!

NB. Do not touch hot rods of glass, it is stupid.

Kaz

These first ones came out of a desire to use stuff that I usually hate and the discovery of a Beady Sam Play Tray at the back of a drawer that had not been opened and presented me with a huge range of Zimmerman frits including a pot of large grind proper purple rose that I didn't know was in there! These are not purple rose but I am keeping schtumm as to what they are! They're on a base of gruesome ghee!

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Oh, and I meant to post this one as it has some new murrini that I am working on which have a watercolour effect - I am hoping to launch some of these at Flame Off
