Me too, spotted this recently from somewhere and thought um, might have to raid the bank for this one! :).

Edited to say, actually might not have to raid the bank, it's not that bad, ooh exciting!!!!! :)

I bought this tut, its great, lots of clear instructions and photos and many different options for using the technique. Great value
;D ;D

In my opinion it's a great tutorial, and a technique which can be used on hotheads as well as on a dual fuel torch  :)

Thanks Sabine :)

It does look interesting. Does it work with a hothead and do I need to buy special glass?

I dont want to buy the tut and then find out that its no use to me.

Kaz

It's a great technique - works well on encased beads too

You will need Double Helix glass to do it - which is quite expensive but worth it!
It should work OK on a hothead - you'd need to make a foil collar for the reduction.

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

I think most reduction colours work to some extent, not just Double Helix. There's a big massive long thread on LE here showing what people got from different colours if you want to take a look.

I haven't got round to trying with Reichenbach silver brown yet, but I vaguely remember that it should work?

It is a good tutorial. this is a close up of one of my beads.

That is scrumptious and I love Kaz's set, very wearable.

All those beads are yummy:)

I do have some DH glass, and can reduce it OK on my hothead.

I am wading through the long thread on LE but want to go and play with my glass so will have to continue reading tonight.
