I have decided to become an Evil Galactic dictator and rule the universe of my kiln! Not a great photo, but these are about 8-10mm each. I found a new way of doing my little world globe beads, now with some clouds as well as continents made of gold leaf, I am rather pleased how these have come out

Lesley I love that first focal. Diane those are really pretty. Nice shard beads Sue. Very pretty Kathy, I still can't get my florals as nice as yours.  Great sets Kaz, especially like the first and third. I like the cat and the beachy one best Les. I like the top set best Di. Very nice Mindy especially the focal. Emma those are gorgeous.Lorna those are really pretty, I love orange and pink together.Lovely ring and beads. I really like that second set Rachel. I am first again

I am obsessed with warring states beads and keep making them and similar types (and I am not a dotty person)

Well I have managed to do it, at last, its an expensive job to get going but finally I have everything I need.

The first one is a test bead I made, I left it for about 4 hours although 18 hours is recommended by Kate Fowle Meleney.  But as I was just testing I wasen't bothered really, the bead was cracked anyhow.  Anyhow I was quite pleased but surprised that the edges seem to stick up a bit, thing I was doing it a bit fast.  Its all trial and error (mostly error).



Next one was me trying to do something a bit different, not sure if I like it though although its not finished yet, I have made a seperate end cap and my intention is to push through some nice stainless steel wire and glue it to the end.  Bit complicated but I think it will work, fingers crossed.  So this is it without the end cap yet and not made into a necklace.





Next one is me again experimenting as I am trying to come up with new ideas, actually I think Kate Fowle's are perfect so its not easy.

Anyway two views of the same bead.







None of these are finished yet as I haven't patinaed them.  I diden't like the Liver of Sulfur as it goes too black (might try watering it down) and have heard ammonia is good but have to get some, maybe someone else has some ideas. 

Its strange how just changing the speed you go from a smooth finish to a very granular finish.

Now I am organised with this I find it really enjoyable but you do have to think ahead a lot.

I have only something I made last night, as I have been making Orbs for my site. I decided to keep this for me and found one of Diane's silks and used one of the other Diane's silver rings.
