Yummie... my beads are in good company this week!!! :D

Here another picture of the doggie.. with minimum silver core...
Folding more silver arount the bead just doesn't work.....

But al litte tell on the smiles.. I use a hairthin intensive black stringer.. heat the head until an orange glow, and then.. out of the flame.. using only the heat of the bead, I paint the smile on!!!! wait a little and break of the stringer.. reheat in small steps.. or the intense black will react with the avocado (211)

Cool tip - thanks!!

Such lovely work on here!

I've been playing with my big lentil press!

There are some fabulous beads on here - I don't know where to start!!!

Lovely bumpies Kaz - I think I am going to have to get myself some tuxedo
Marion - wow - they are so fun & cheerful and I love the doggie  :)
GirlFriday - I love the orange....whatever - my mate would call him a "dooberry"  ;D
Verena - what a gorgeous hen and the butterfly is cute
Helen - I love the cane in the middle set
Nicola - there are some lovely reactions in that bead
Yasemin - nice silver glass - you should drop by & say hi more often
Lorna -such cheerfulness - they are just gorgeous!
Louise - I wish my beads multiplied in the kiln - they are great goddesses
Trudi - those first two lentils are just stunning
Claire - you've a lovely combination and a great shape there - shame about the crack  :'(

And here are mine. My brother gave me some spectrum for Christmas and this is my first play. Just some simple bumpies but I'm loving the turquoise and blue. I think I'd have liked the ivory to be more reactive 'though.

I do have some more but I'll post a separate thread - I don't want to hog here!

Blue Kiln Beads

#142
Can't believe I am going to dive into S&T proper but I am rather shuffed with these.  So much so that I have also posted them somewhere else.....  Please excuse bead poo but I wasn't sure they would survive the kiln so I took some snaps:

Wow....it's only Monday and such a lot of goodies on here already!!   :) :)

A few from me (now on my website  ;) ;))

(managed to get some lovely colours from this Terra 'odd lot'......pinks, blues, greens, mauves...)

Les

I love the colours in your bead Nicola... they are so warm !!!!

Here are a few from yesterday......

This is a lovely Bullseye colour.... it doesn't quite show the lovely sparkle in this pic though..

This one is really skinny... 5cm x 8mm at it's widest point.. bullseye again..

Yet more Bullseye.... some little spacers..

I had fun putting bubbles into this one... think I'll play more with this one...

Sorry I can't say what the bullseye colours all are... I just have a bundle of random colours..

Thanks
Les xx

After waiting for K's blessing to post him, as he is her surprise focal..... here is my first Jenifer Geldard Bird Tute bead.... he'll be 'winging' his way to her ASAP :)

Well with all the gorgeous gorgeous stuff on here so far this week I'm almost ashamed to put my tatty stuff on here, wheres the newbie show and tell gone.  ;D I seem to be going backwards rather than forwards.

Gosh what amazing beads this week, I'm in love with Les's bird.

I have a few to show.  I have been getting bored making the same sort of beads and started off with frit and flowers, moved onto beads with twisties and ended up with flowers and stringers.

Sorry for the hog :)

Maikki

Great thread again! Soon we need daily S&T... I like specially Les´ bird.

After a break I have made goddess beads. These one are not the best, but ones I have pics. I bought Shari Slones Rainbow Scale tutorial and tried the tecnique here. The first one is my first with wings:

I was recently asked to make a pair of pumpkin earrings, I warned they wouldn't be pretty, but my awful stringer control produced some real ugly monsters - these are the better ones (if you can believe such a thing!)
