I've had a tidy up, re-arranged my ventilation and got a new desk - the old one was from Ikea and was bending in the middle :-(

Just a little query! I'm loving seeing how others set up their workspace, but notice in some of the pics that some people have red gas bottles. My propane comes in blue bottles, I thought it was a different gas in the red. Am I wrong? Just wondered what the difference was.

I thought it was Butane that came in blue bottles and Propane came in red? Mine is Propane, and red.

I thought the same.  My propane bottles have always been red/orange coloured.

So sorry girls and boys....I must have been having a senior moment! Just gone to my studio to look and yes my bottle is red! What was I thinking? I think I'd better go and have a lie down now!

I have finally got myself sorted out and have set myself up in the conservatory. I seem to be unable to get a photo into the forum, so I have put a couple on my blog.

well I had to move out of the spare room to let my lovely lady have her jewellery studio back - so here is the first stage of my 'studio'

the extractor hose going under the table will help keep me warm in the winter once i have finished working on the layout i hope  ;D

We both seem to have has the same idea Mark - I've been consigned to the back of the garage as well and have painted the wall behind my torch white.
Suggest you get yourself some sort of heater before the winter. Our garage is integral with the house and even has some central heating pipes running through it (insulated of course) but it was still piggin cold out there last winter :(.
As for chairs I have a lovely adjustable high backed office chair with armrests that I bought for £15 from a local second hand furniture store - a great bargain as it was nearly new.
Might be worth your while having a scout around any local charity or secondhand shops for one.
