Hi

Here's my crochet rope.

It took ages and goes from light to dark.  I normally wear it all tied into a large knot.  It looks really good (I think!)

Blue Kiln Beads

That's lovely Sally.  I admire your patience, I like seed beading but bead crochet has always looked abit scary....

I tried to teach myself bead crochet lots of times and, in the end, learnt from a workshop I went to.  Once you get taught it's really easy to do.  The beads really help you to see where you should go next.  I learnt with size 8s.
It's great because you can take it out and about with you without all the beads rolling around and getting lost.

They are lovely mary.  Gorgeous colours.
I made a couple of bracelets but didn't manage to join them up as neatly as your's.  Very impressive.

Oh yum !!!!! ;D

Those are lovely! I used to do a bit of wire knitting, I bought a little machine where you turn the handle and it pops out of the bottom - not the easiest to do but fun - here's a couple of pics..

Wow what a lovely thread, I hadn't seen this before.  Does anyone on here do kits?  I'd love to have a little try at something like this?

Hi Ant

did you find a tutorial?

I'd recommend a long rope to start with.  I quite like mine because it's quite versatile.  I either wear it tied in one knot or do a few knots and tucking ins to end up with a look like this:

I just need to buy suitable beads, thread and a crotchet hook and I'll have a go ........................................

How long did it take you to make your long rope Sally?

MeadMoon

I love those ropes and must have a go.  Thank you for posting the tuts.

The items that I've done are just straightforwardly crocheting wire with stone chips.  This one is rock crystal chips with sterling silver wire.
