Lush!

I agree with Alison, they are fantastic!

I was very lucky to have a class with Kate Sullivan and Diana East within a few days of each other and have been inspired all week to make underwater beads - they're the devil to photograph though!

Here's a focal with encased (Kaz) murrini

I tried putting murrini inside the shoulder of this heart but they went bad so I pulled them out and the bits I'd put underneath ended up getting swirled and looking amazing!

I know that's a really weird pic, there is a pic of the front of the heart on Flickr but I actually prefer the plainer back anyway!

Great entries everyone, I love looking through the galleries.

I bought a tutorial for a seascape from Mary Lockwood a couple of months ago,  so strictly speaking it's not my creation but it was great fun to do, mine is not a patch on hers though!

Had a play and created a 'set', shapes are a bit wonky so more practice needed :P. very basic, iris frit over lilac transparent.
My lady made them up into a necklace for herself with amethyst and silver spacers on a ribbon - we cant anneal them at the moment so its just practice until we get a kiln but she likes them :)

Hi, I have never been brave enough to show any of my beads so far, but I was quite pleased with how these turned out so I have taken the plunge.

Firstly my neice asked me to make some keyrings as gifts for her little boys pre-school teachers:

Then a colleague at work wanted some bottle stoppers and pens

Hope this has worked first time on flickr too.  :)

I've been teaching myself coring, practiced on some ancient dodgy beads, then broke 3 decent beads and then got some caps as well, played with 3 good beads and got these....

I've learnt that brass is an absolute pig to core with it's so hard, do I have to anneal it differently, I've been heating until glowing then quenching?

Trudi

OMG, it's only Tuesday lunchtime. I had intentions of looking and commenting more on this thread this week!!! So delicious every single one!!

I have a relatively simple beads, and I know lots have been trying out the tutorial, but I'm really pleased with how these turned out – the pictures don't really show off the blue haze effect as much as they do in real life!
