Julie is alive and doing well  :D what a lovely, stunning studio. Now it needs to be lived in.
Well done.

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Seriously? I get to name it? I still like Lusherie :)

It looks fantastic, nicer than any hair salon I have ever been in! Those mirrors will be so useful for students, I use mine to check my mandrel is level.

I love everything about it. You will get so many bookings! This is the start of a whole new episode in The Chronicles of Lush!

Well done!
NB. Do not touch hot rods of glass, it is stupid.

Hi Julie,

What a fantastic space, well worth the time, energy and effort, I'd be really proud of that. Well done you!

Ilona

What fantastic studios you both have :) Well done to both of you :)

The Tartan Trout

My little corner of the garage. I share it with EVERYTHING that's not allowed in the house  :) :)
I still have to try and attach my creation station though

Looks nice and sunny Sarah, not to mention clean and tidy  ;)

That looks really nice Sarah, my garage is dark, cold, has breeze blocks for decoration, and large spiders all aimed at keeping me out!

The benefit of once renting torch time at Mandas, you have to clean up after each session. I have tried to keep to that...doesnt always work though :)

I had the garage door open and the sun was shining. Normally its dark and cold. What you can't see is all the other crap behind me and the shed loads of webs and dust :) Spiders don't bother me

My new set up  ;D ;D ;D

My lovely hubby has set it up so that I can switch from my beloved hothead torch to new bobcat easily and quickly. I love my hothead torch and as time beadmaking is very rare I didn't want to not be able to make beads while I get used to my new "big girls torch". So now I can spend time practising and then switch torches back so I can make my normal beads  ;D ;D I'm a happy bunny  ;)

I've tried to get the photo up but can only manage the link, if a nice mod could alterate it for me then I can see how the link should look for next time... xx

Ingrid - all you need to do on flickr now is use the little arrow to the right of the facebook and twitter icons and copy the bb code directly from the pull down menu.

I thought I'd show a picture of what my working space looks like after 16 months! My jars have been multiplying...

The big clamp holding my torch down was temporary as I didn't have a smaller one and my not!dremel seemed too wimpy to drill holes in the bench bracket to bolt it down. But the handle for tightening it is actually rather useful for resting mandrels on to take some of the weight when I'm doing a big bead.

The other two clamps have chamois leather sponges velcroed to them for elbow rests.

I'm planning to put some little shelves in up the left side so I can put my frit and small things there. When I manage to get round to it! I screwed in little hooks on the right so I could hang some tools up.

To the left, I put things on top of the tumble dryer while I'm working (it has to be pulled out from the wall to attach my vent pipe to the outlet).
