The British Society of Scientific Glassblowers is not just for those involved in scientific glassblowing  as a lot of our members are artistic lampworkers. see www.bssg.co.uk

I draw your attention to one of the links to the German glass Society at http://www.vdg-ev.org/
Here you will find a report on last years European Symposium at Veldhoven which was a flame off and  a half. 450 glassblowers form 23 Countries demonstaring on burners, lathes and furnaces. Everythings form test tubes to neon parrots!
