Anyone tried CIM Indian Summer?

I'm doing a dither on my Tuffnells order, Indian Summer goes in the basket, then out, then in...

If its just another amber then I will be disappointed specially since its exactly 10 times the price per kilo of Effetre ambers (wish I hadnt just calculated that..removes batteries from shameful object before the whole basket is at risk!)

So, anyone tried it and is it really beautiful?

Thank you
Helen

Just looked at the color addition page - those colours are gorgeous together.

I now sort of wish I hadn't looked . . . . .

Not just me...Emperor was definitely on the 'no way' list but I started to think about it again but its back on the no way list, would be nice to be able to buy single rods of the most expensive ones though. I know someone suggested to Martin but not heard since

Jolene's tested it here:http://kitzbitzartglass.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/messy-testing-autumn-moccasin-and.html

Looks like it comes out much darker than the Effetre Ambers.

Also tested here: http://coloraddictionblog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/glass-testing-cim-limited-run-colors.html

Oh helsbels...that link

It has surely led me into temptation and indeed a bundle of emperor fell into that basket as well...there is officially no hope for me now!

Yes that would be nice - I love the CiM new colours but as I am just an occasional hobbyist and don't sell my beads, a lot of them are too expensive to justify buying a bundle.
Maybe a mixed bundle of one rod of each the new colours would be another idea ?
Would perhaps also be of interest to newbies who want a variety of colours to play with ?

Occasionally I do buy and then realise I have something almost identical but loads cheaper!

It strikes, it etched variably for me, seemed to depend how much it was struck. Silver glass does interesting things on it (got more pics to take before my post is up).

Trudi

It looks better on the app .. Search for beads by Laura
