That's lovely Sarah, I like the eye
I've 4 to show using Rocio's Sissley glass, this stuff is amazing, it looks clear in the rod, but it must be a veiled cane cos the ribbons it produces have such depth, and it strikes really easy, no special treatment at all
first one is over Elektra,

2nd and 3rd over Van Gogh

4th over Khaos

and finally a Khaos twistie which is one of my fav's ever

It just gets better and better, Dora that window bead is just fantastic - its so lovely.
Anna - those shard beads are gorgeous, Pam I love that style you are doing, the goddess has the most wonderful ass, the SC beads are stunning, loads to drool over, hope I haven't missed anyone.

Anyhow a few more from me - we are on a roll now, ha ha. ;D

Big hole bead (might sc this one)

Goddess tree bead, this is a big bead, not sure if I like it though

PS. I love those orphans - they are just so cute ;D

Had a play after reading a recent thread and made these from a wine bottle...

I didn't put these in the kiln as I was just playing to work out how to cut the glass and get it onto the mandrel in the first play. So these just went into some vermie.

I added Gold leaf to one and Silver Leaf to the other. Half way through the silver leaf one I decided I didn't want it completely round and to look more like the glass was wrapped. So thats why its sort of between shapes. They are not the best beads in the world but this is the first time I have done this and working with funny shaped glass was not the easiest thing in the world!  ;D

I LOVED doing this it was so much fun and now my mind is spinning with different ideas about what to do. I found that really strange as I normally have so much trouble coming up with inspiration when I have all the glass and frits and enamels to work with that getting back to only one type of glass really did it for me!!

I have a set to show. A big long bead (approx. 6cm) made into a pendant, 2 lentils 26mm for earrings and one of my spiral-rings. The pendant and the earrings both enhanced with a little chain maille.

Beautiful beads!

I made beads too this weekend. Some of them are for swaps, but here is a bracelet I made today. I practised both DH glasses and to use lentil press I bought from Maria Louisa:

Maria-Louisa, yes I find they are perfect for the tree beads as well, only made two so far but they are rather addictive and the huge lentil makes a great base for a tree.

Verena, really nice, I especially like the spiral ring

Maikki - I love those, the colours are so subtle - really beautiful.

A new set from me and also I was playing with mixing glass colours (trying to make denim blue) and making cubes, you can probably tell (if you have seen it) that I have been reading the Karen Leonardo book.  The set is all my own style though.

It can be, well, sometimes a little lonely sitting in a tin hut all day so I've made myself a pet.

This is Pete and I think he's the first glassy thingy/bead that I have truly decided to keep. I'm going to hang him from the extractor.

And talk to him.

(all say "Ahhhhhh!")  ;D
