Is there a kiln striking program around for soft glass? I want my transparent reds to pop but the.things I make.I can't flame strike well enough

Thanks!!

Shirley

I don't know of any program that is designed to strike. As far as I am aware those are marked as kiln strikers do so in the normal annealing temperatures.

I'd recommend you practise striking in the flame. Let the bead get quite cool before you strike, and then heat to a dull glow. If it goes transparent you have overdone it. I don't know what torch you use but you might need to turn down the flame too.
