Looking for black and white that dont craze or show purple. Been asked to do an 8 ball as a bead, simple enough bit keep getting fuzzy outlines. Any suggestions?

is that just reichenbach black? I tried that but in the smaller middles of the figure of 8 the white merged with the black and I got a lovely metallic effect only that's not what I wanted! Is deep black different?

Yes, deep black is different (and AMAZING), it is pure black, not dark purple or dark blue, and it doesn't bleed AT ALL.  It's fantastic for fine stringer and other applications when you need your black to stay black.

I think Tuffers are awaiting a restock, I'd offer to send you some but I'm down to my last rod.

Perhaps someone on here could send you a few rods to try.

Sorry to butt in here - but which Effetre white - my last batch was like shrapnel!  There must be one that's ok but I forgot which I ordered now, perhaps Anise???

Anise is the one that spits. Regular Effetre should be fine.

I've used CIM Hades and Peace together successfully too.

Yep, deep black and CIM Peace for me. I have some deep black if you would like me to send you some.

Is deep black the same as intense black ? thanks

Kalorlo

The one usually called intense black is Effetre intense black, which webs. It's Reichenbach deep black that doesn't. (If someone is calling it Reichenbach intense black, it's probably the same stuff).

There are some comparisons of black glass on this blog, you may find them useful. I'm guessing that the Reichenbach black she refers to must be the deep black.
