I have just started using the frit I got with my starter kit but my beads have little pits or holes around the edge of the some of the spots of frit.  I have only used it on the surface and it is melted in smooth.  What have I done wrong?  Its Reichenbach frit on ordinary Effetre black glass.  I want to have a go with the lovely Val Cox colours I've just bought from Vicki so advice welcome!
Thanks

Some glasses are prone to this pitting, try heating slower with less heat  ;)

could be compatibly issues or the frit  (or frit container) has got bits of 'stuff' in that should not be there

if you let the bead cool you can then reheat and melt it smooth again.
Mostly if you melt in your frit slower and further out in the flame so its a bit cooler you wont have this problem too often, some blends are more prone to it than others though, it just depends on what glass it contains!
You can of course etch the finished bead to disguise it  ;D

Thanks!  I am probably a bit too impatient!
