Vetrofond dark ivory

Having spent a few precious hours (at the moment) pulling SIS using this glass and finding none look good when used, is there somethig about this one that doesn't play well with Vetrofond dk ivory?  It doesn't mix as well on the stringer and when used looks like I've laid on tiny scraps of silver sheet on a dark band, not the usual webbing and silver effect I usually get.

Vetro dark ivory just doesn't seem to be reactive in quite the same way as even Effetre light Ivory. I find that using silver foil rather than leaf helps give a stronger organic effect with Effetre but can be quite an expensive way to make SIS.

Thanks.  Will go back to the beginning and dig out some Effetre then.  I've lost of silver leaf but no silver foil.  I usually have no problem with Effetre dk ivory and silver sheet, but having startred with a vetrofond rod I kept going.  That'll teach me to be stubborn!
