I bought a massive bundle of Clio seconds a while ago from Double Helix and labelled all the rods at the same time.  I used one today (grabbed wearing diddies) and thought it looked a bit darker than usual, wound on my orange glass, then my clear, then the 'Clio' and reduced and encased it.  Wow, thinks I prior to encasing, that's much shinier than usual.  However, rather than the bright vibrant pink I was expecting, I got greens and blues instead.  Very pretty tbh, but not what I was after.  The rod was a pale amber, with obvious silver striations - anybody got an idea what it could be, it doesn't look like any of my other rods?  It must have crept into the bundle over in the US, naughty rod.  ::)

Blue Box Studio

No, but I think I have several other short pieces of it but never knew what it was.  Also got some beige DH but don't know what that is either.

Hmm, it doesn't look like my Luna or Luna 3, it's much much paler.  It's not Helios definitely.  Does Luna 2 give blues and greens then?

I'll post one in the morning - it's too dark to take a decent one now, and the beady is in the kiln at the moment.  I suspect Pandora 2 may be the culprit after a bit of trawling on the DH webby.  :-\

Mwah!  I dunno!  It's driving me potty, every single one of my rods is labelled and this is frustrating  >:(  Grrrrrr.  ;)

Either or  :D
No Trudi, I always use 006, unless it's florals then I splash out and use Lauscha.  And my clear rods are all labelled too.  Yes, I am anal about labelling before anybody says it, please refer to top of post  ;D ;)
I think you're right Sabine, it's probably an odd lot.  There was one that fit the bill.  It'll be interesting to see how it comes out of the kiln.

Redhotsal

Well, maybe it IS Clio? I get greens and blues from it - especially if I over reduce it. The only other one that DH do with the silver "rain" in the glass is Olympic Rain and that would be clear, not amber.

You're right Sal - I've taken the bead out of the kiln this morning and although it showed vivid greens and blues before going in, it is now bright pink.  The rod is noticeably different, but perhaps that's something to do with it being a second.  It is the only rod of that colour though, I wonder if it has a little more silver than it's friends?  I'll play as normal now ...  ;D
