Righty ho - well, so far, it melts beautifully, it's a spreader, and doesn't devit as quickly as the Zimmerman. It looks lovely going into the kiln, very similar to Z99 - it won't be out til the morning I'm afraid, but I'll post piccies then. I really hope it looks as good coming out!

I made just a couple of spacers with it and it came out really dark – from looking at the end of the cane, I was expecting it to come out streaky - which it didn't (shame) but perhaps I need to play with it a little more.

I'd agree and say that it behaved well and didn't devit!!

And I'll be keen to try some frit with it – assuming it's dark like the glass I think it will show up well on beads!

I'll have some more specified playtime with it soon, and actually pay attention to what I'm doing with it heat wise.

nearly had a fit yesterday when I etched some, it went all gakky and white! like the purple had been painted on and the etch had taken it off! luckily it was the white that was a coating and it washed off...phew!

apart from a couple of smaller beads that I treated like EDP, all mine has come out a pretty purpley lilac colour, much more like the outside of the rod colour, but some has very slight devit.

Kaz, may I ask where you got the frit from? The factory itself doesn't sell frit in COE 104, only in COE96, so I would be interested in the supplier.

It's 96 COE so I can blend with other 96.

Here we go, I'm afraid the goddess isn't up to much, I was concentrating on the purple

The purple was applied on the goddess with stringer! It really really spreads this stuff, a definite less is more colour. But it's gorgeous. It reacted with the ivory, I love that look, and when used in dots, bottom picture, right bead, the dots stay nice and distinct. The bottom bead is a purple rose base, my photos aren't good, but it really is very pretty.
So, purple rose. Nah, don't buy it, you don't want that stuff, leave it all for me ....
