I accidentialy bought a ton (well not quite, but alot) of 004 ages ago, I meant to buy a bit to learn stuff with, but I didn't need as much of it as I have got and now have been using 006, just don't know what to do with all this scummy stuff.  What do people use the clear 004 for?  Any ideas on how I can use it up?  I suppose I could use it as a base for things?  Maybe a base bead and then silver foil it...?  Sure someone here will have a cunning plan what I can do with it. :)

I use it under 'good glass' saves using so much nice stuff.

i'm using mine up as a base for other colours

In the future, all will be glass...

I found you could still get away with using it on the surface as long as you etched them after!!.. ;D

I use it as a base for other colours, use it to pull thick stringers for dragging and twisting, makes great bubbly drop pendants and BRILLIANT space beads.

Base of black or dk cobalt, swipe of silver wire or silver leaf and encase heavily in scummy clear, gives fantastic milky ways and stars effortlessly

Fantastic mystic globes for my dragons to hold onto, great for centres of flowers or even for petals, great for wings and sculpture with fizzy interest.

Need I say more?

I LOVE SCUMMY CLEAR ;D

I used all mine up making Michael Barley type beads after I bought his Baleen tutorial.

OK folks, I am obviously being unfair to my poor 004, lots of lovely ideas here (need to learn dragons Tan!) and even been to have a look at the Baleen tut too!  I do rather like sort of milky way idea and was thinking about how to do this the other day, so now I shall have a play.  Also need to be braver on my etching, last time I left them in too long! :)

I use my 004 with enamels and let the scummy organic qualities of it shine through :)

OOh, that is really lovely and it's given me an idea!  I don't have any enamel, but I have a cunning plan... ;) :)
