peacock green annealing tip

Having seen Dee Dees lovely lentil in peacock green I wondered if anyone has a couple of rods for me to swop, I have blues in cim .

Jean - when you do get some, you may want to anneal slightly higher then normal  - probably about 535°C (same with Halong) otherwise you may find it cracks. Most other colours will be fine at that temp (although I'd be wary of un encased Rubino). In fact the higher temp can be better for some striking colours!

I have some Jean, I have two other parcels to send this afternoon, if you pm your addy to me I'll get this off to you as well.  I only got this yesterday and it's gorgeous glass, but the heart I made did crack in the kiln, so thanks for that advice Trudi

It is lovely, interesting thing is it does crack easier when heating too, I'm on a hot head, but was only when I came back and read this I realised why this might have happened. Haven't had anything make it to the kiln yet but am working on it.

Hmmm ... I anneal at 510 and it's been OK for me ... so far anyway Perhaps I'll whack the kiln up to be on the safe side.
Peacock green has to be one of my fave colours at the mo. Looking forward to seeing your creations, Jean

It could be that despite the display, each kiln runs a little differently. Tis a gorgeous colour!
