Double Helix

I have just splashed out on a Double Helix Taster pack, which has one of each of all their specialist glass in (15 rods in total).     Can't wait for it to come so I can have a play!

Obviously, as a newbie, I don't have much experience at all with striking and reducing glasses - do all the Double Helix glasses work best in a reducing flame, or is each one different?  I know that only certain of the glasses are striking glass, such as Terronova II which I had a bit of a diddle with at the weekend, with not bad results at all, but I don't want to be wasting the stuff if I can help it - cos its pretty dear aint it!!

I thought by getting a rod of each which teach me a little about how each glass behaves and reacts, so that I can decide what I like and what I don't before I start to buy more.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated - or if you can point me in the direction of information already available that would be brilliant as well!

It is also worth doing the same at LE (lampwork etc), the US glass forum - there are loads of tips and pics on there too.
