Gaia-try as I might I can't get it to work, any tips greatly appreciated.

I seem to have reasonable success with the other silver glasses I have but this one eludes me. I have tried cooling quite a lot then reducing, reducing while still hot, striking and even oxidising. But still not a hint of anything other than the transparent green it is in the raw.
Can anyone help me pretty please  it's bugging the pants off me

I like this glass but it is a bit hit and miss. The best results I have had have been shards blown from gaia, they reduce much more easily.

Silvered shards or try storming it. Similar experience - very hit and miss but lovely when it does hit!

This glass needs really heavy reduction, lots of times.

I normally get it to go cloudy pearly green, but managed to get green reflection once which I haven't managed to repeat.

Once you have the reduction cloud it doesn't like to be encased.

I like it left unencased, it's a very subtle effect, I just use very little, and reduce quite a bit.
As it's a transparent effect it can get completely lost over a busy or bright bead.

Just a little gaia, didn't try to really heat hot..

I thought it was just me - I used to get lovely results when I had my HH but find that with the Bobcat, I can get it to reduce, but when encased it goes back to being clear.  Then I thought maybe I'd bought a dodgy batch.

You need to let the glass cool a bit before reducing too.

It is a supremely lovely colour - when it works - so worth giving it another go.

That is just a thin layer of gaia in that BHB, it doesn't seem so good in larger amounts.
I forgot to say, when I was using my hothead I used up loads of silver glass getting nowhere, so I very belatedly realised that if you pull it into stringers it goes further..
