I've been tinkering with lampwork for ever such a long time and really think I should be better than this by now, however it is purely a pastime I'd probably be an arsonist if I wasn't melting glass. So - my first lentils, not cleaned (finally bought a press) and my first tinker with silver glass, bit panicky on a HH. Everyone's beads are amazing and it's only Tuesday

It's huge and I cored it (without a satchmo) and used some of George's bead caps. I even love its little unplanned bubble!

Hi!
I know some of you guys have done this over and over, but having been inspired by the current AOTM Beverley Edge and looked at some of the tute links on here, I had a go at a Goddess bead today...done in RB Dk silver brown, so the colours will be thoroughly different after the kiln, but I was rather excited at how she turned out!!!
Trying harder every day!

Love the beads so far on this gallery post, especially the chickens and horse head!

I've had a break whilst in sunny Cornwall (Goran Haven) for the week and thoroughly enjoyed myself with the family doing nothing in particular except playing in the sand, eating it and wandering around a lot :)  I had the obligatory visit to the bead shop in Mevagissey and always spend more than I intend too!

Anyhow, these are ones that have been waiting to be photographed.  The first one I'm really chuffed with, as I've had such huge problems getting ekho to work.  The bead on the right was the usual poo coloured beads I'd been producing for such a long time (never mind how much glass I actually went through, but it was a lot) and was about ready to admit defeat in ever getting anything sensible out of it, until I think it's finally clicked and I got some lovely turquoise, purple and blue with a hint of red out of it!  Just hope I can repeat it again  :-\

These are some of the others I've managed to clean and string:
