Gorgeous work eveyone!

I've started playing with enamels...here is my first attempt!

That heart is very pretty - I keep getting the enamels out and panicking and putting them away again!!!

I've been admiring those on flickr, Kaz  

Here are mine from last week.

These are offshoots from the dragonscale ones. The first has Reichenbach silver brown dots, covered in clear. The second is on a base of CiM olive, with EDP dots, silver brown on top, then clear. They're... interesting? There are parts with nice reactions, but as a whole they're pretty fugly!


Mystic pink hollow with frit. A mystic pink lentil with hades - an odd reaction here! Hades doesn't web very easily on this and white lines have turned up. Finally, hades webbing on dark lavender.


Sabine mentioned Roger Child's hummingbird tutorial (it's on YouTube) and I had a go on and off through the week. I found it very tricky to get the wings the same size and shape, and kept melting the tail while I was adding the wings! They are petrol green with dark lavender wings (photographed blue), then mystic grey-blue with pale blue, mystic pink with pink lady, and MCD with ocean. With my first one I made it with the mandrel the wrong way round...



And this is a flatter Totoro than the ones I used in my necklaces.

Very pretty, there's nothing wrong with a healthy frit obsession!

I just wanted to show another lacy heart (love making these) - and Sssetut, whose eyes are apparently too characterful (according to He who Knows  )

So its time to bring the level down a bit

I've been practising bigger beads this week. Not beautiful, I know, but its a start. All three big beads cracked while I worked, so I melted the cracks shut! The little green ones are from a Stella Artois bottle I pulled out of the recycling

wow there are some gorgeous beads on here Emma love that heart , Bev beautiful beautiful beads not sure how you get the wonderful clear depth in your work , and Helen just gorgeous . Kathy yum ! as always and everyone else just brilliant

Absolutely fantastic beads every one, far too many to name individually. I often come in here and find my jaw dropping.
Now I have to put in some pics of my work.

Bah, no gas this week. Here's what I did at the weekend:



Dark red brown, coral, CiM ginger and stoneground, plus white in the twistie.
CiM electric avenue, zachary, dirty martini and Vetrofond med lapis.

Very fresh from the kiln, a couple (more) stars from me, still part of the ongoing prep for Art in Action next week.

Those stars are lovely, The transfers are so delicate. And all the rest are lovely too. I don't see any bubbles.
I have been enjoying making stones again, I do hope you don't all get bored of them!

Diane, those sets are beautiful, love the nuggets! And Helen's nuggets too 

I made this blown bead yesterday and I'm really pleased, it is the first time I've felt in control of what I was doing, without the tube going into meltdown or trying funny shapes!
