Pure serendipity, finding myself in possession of a few strips of gold leaf(6x25mm), to avoid messing it up a few questions:
Any colours really not suitable to use with it?
Any tips/tricks to make it really shine?
Temperature control? I expect need to be careful not to fume everything beyond my flame!?  ;)  ???

Burnish it on well with your marver - encase quickly if you are going to and dont overheat once encased - use with ventilation ...enjoy it I love it :)

It holds up pretty well as long as you don't get it too hot, i usually use it on the surface, roll warm bead on gold, burnish really well, then a quick waft back in the flame to make sure all the gold is nicely stuck and pop it away to anneal/cool

I've never had it fume anything, but that's not to say it wont...someone with more experience of using it might be able to enlighten you more on that aspect  ;D

Thank you for that, I'll give it a go.
