Jennie, that's a lovely paperweight, and beautiful marbles, Sean!

These are more of Kaz's Green Tambourine frit and murrini.

My boyfriend wanted a Bean of Courage for his very own, so I made him a necklace:

I had a go at mosaic shards. I'm still not great at blowing them so they were thicker than I'd like, but worked.

These two toppers were daffodil implosions that went wrong (find them much harder to do in a shape like this rather than round) so I covered them with raked dots. Got a bit over-enthusiastic with the layering, so the centre ones aren't as crisp as I'd have liked.

It's a really great week in the gallery this week ;D

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Those are just delicious Kaz. And Sean - you are awesome!

I'm quite pleased with this set:

And I made some more of these (forgive the wrinkly fingers!):

Love all the pretties on show this week, special soft spot for the Bean of Courage!  After spending a lovely day with Kaz & Julie, I am a little addicted to big dots, wave beads and hearts! (photos snapped quickly and blurrily from my phone, sorry  ::))

Woo, a new gallery!

I have been doing some tests with Lauscha clear and silver glass. I've used it with Luna 2.1 before. I am using the SNT 100 standard clear for these. I use silver glass in an on-again off-again kind of way, so it takes me a couple to remember what I'm doing! These'll  now sit around for a few months for me to keep an eye on them - am not expecting anything to happen to them :)

1. Psyche encased in 100 clear. Definitely got it too hot!

2. Aurae over 100 clear then encased. I still got this a bit too hot, so you can mostly see the iridescence on one side... but I really like this bead and don't care! :D
I haven't done much with aurae encased on its own so am not sure what this style would look like with other clears - you can see from the side-on view that there's quite a bit of green in the sheen from that angle.

3. Ekho spiral over Lauscha faded rose, razored and encased in 100 clear.

4. StrikingColor DA515 over Vetro light blue, razored and encased in 100 clear. I am very happy with this because the last time I tried to encase StrikingColor I got lots of beige. You can get more deep blues and purples, but I'll take this one! (Got some new murrini I made on it).

Maerin murrini, contain striking silver glass.

Off-mandrel water dog head. This looks nice from either side, unfortunately they don't quite line up head-on! :D

My, everyone's getting so good with the silver glass now, there are some lovely examples here.
Just to be different....here's one without any, although there is some dichroic in there which doesn't show up very well in the photos. I think it will be a keeper!

Here are some beads I made in January, intending to make a necklace with them, but I never got to it in the end!

Some really really lovely work already this week.

Heather, love the lentils, my fav has to be the ekho, but I can be a bit of an ekho addict!  The dog's head is wonderful.
Saga Suus, love the set, why does silver glass make me go weak at the knees? :)
Madeline.   Just sooo lovely, so pretty.  I have a friend who would love your horse!
Pris.  Beautiful and that murrini is fab.
Amber.  Love the red focal specially.
Sam, lovely collection, can I see a twistie in there? :)
Kathy, your florals are sooo pretty, I dream of making beads like that (and it will probably only be in my dreams that I can make them!).

Here are a few offerings from me.  Have been a bit mad recently with trying to keep up with stock for markets etc and photo taking rather took a back step, but today has been photography day (not a brilliant day for it but the only chance I will get this week).  Also a bit addicted to SG (not Ekho this week though).  I have also been practicing my cutting technique and rather like it!.

This bead is mine all mine, unfortunately I picked up the wrong stringer to go over the SIS at the ends and the back of the bead is not as pretty as the front!  (people tell me these look a bit like fish, so I might have have a little think about this!).  A nice bit of triton. :)

This one is going to go to Etsy or Folksy, bit smaller than the one above and is that good old favorite Reichenbach silver brown, what a fab glass!

A of pinky one which I managed to over reduce (I knew I was doing it, but just didn't stop!). Quite big, 35mm long by 25mm wide. Still think it is quite pretty though, makes me think of angels wings for some reason!

Some more testing:

Psyche again - dark lavender base, psyche, encased in Lauscha 100 clear. It's a bit better than the last one, but this is annoying me now! The dots and stripe on the sides have colour. They've got dark lavender on top and are electric blue. I've always had more luck with just dots of psyche when it's encased. *shakes fist* I shall not be defeated!

This is aurae over Vetro light blue, razored and encased with Lauscha 100 clear. More aurae on the ends. I expect this colour of base to give greens.

These two are going back in the kiln next time it's on, in case they strike more on the floor. The ghost bead on the left is pandora encased in 100 clear, with a wrap either end and some dots. I was expecting this one to crack - no sign of it yet. The bead on the right is fire lotus, again encased with 100 clear and with a twistie end from my murrini pull. I think the red blotch is from where it was nearest the floor, which is why it's going in again.

Finally, I was playing some more with my mosaic shards and some copper mesh. (This is also 100 clear. There's a little surface pitting from superheating the edges of the shards).
