Gorgeous gorgeous work people!  Loving the clio with black Pris!  I had a go with kalypso and managed to get some colour

Pris: wow! Those are gorgeous with the black.
Tish and Lotti: you've got lovely colours.
Rachel: wahey! I love Transcend.

I made some murrini that I'm calling Daffy-Down-Dilly. I meant them to be a bit more orange, but I really like them like this anyway!

I don't normally have problems encasing opaque red or orange, but I was pushing it a bit with the topper by encasing *and* having a steel nut inside... It's cracked across the red/orange, under the clear. Mostly it was to test out the murrini - I'll make another one with a transparent red base instead, since that works. The other bead is another murrini test - it has an encased twistie end.

Next, this is a teeny tiny bead I'm planning to use as a dangle. With teeny tiny barnacles!

I had a go using the Vetromagic ear studs again: much easier with a double-ended pin vice instead of crocodile clips. You can stick a mandrel in one end to give a decent length to hang on to and the earring post in the other, then use a damp flannel to undo the chuck. I dropped the stud into my little marble mould as something handy with a handle to then upend into the kiln.

Black Heart Beads

Great beads on show, and totally envious of peoples ability to tame silver glass.
Some cast glass from me, still in need of cold work but that may have to wait until after the flame off.

Ciel

Lovely beads everyone - especially Kaz' hearts!

More birds, a toadstool & commissioned poppy bead:

Beautiful gallery everyone, definitely a gorgeous Springy feel!

Sam, I adore those pieces, I hope to see them in person at Flame Off! :)

Since we can share our beads and beyond entries now voting has closed I will show mine :)

Well done everyone! Beautiful focal beads and wonderful silver glass beads!
I just finished set of jewellery for my cousin. She is fifty next week.

Purple Cobwebs

Oh My, since I last commented there's been even more loveliness!!!! I don't know where to start!
But Helen, I love love love the Japenese Hasi!
And Rachel, I never bore of seeing the wonders you do with silver glass. I sometimes wonder if you use the same glass as I do as I've never come close to those colours!!!!
And everyone else, I love your makes, I've just not got te time to comment on all of them :-\

I took delivery of my new Bavarian Beads Cross press at the weekend. It's probably the most challenging press I've worked with, but I'm glad I persevered as I love the results. If I ever master stringers I want to make one with ivy creeping up it.

*This should have gone in the show and tell as it's a tester of the new silver glass from DH - Notos!*
Notos - stormed and stringer

Difficult to photograph but encased Notos dots between Ekho/Sasha(can't remember what I used) larger dots - gorgeous blue/purple irridecence that look like reflection or shadow.

I'm not surprised!

From unimaginitive me, a set inspired by Special Kay's hollows and Julie HB's murrini test beads. These are all hollow, so nice and light, with murrini from various sources, including Julie herself and Kaz.

A Michal S. style bead, I did this after my Stringer Surgery class with Di East...

Finally a VERY sneaky preview of a NEW MURRINI from Julie HB. It's debuting at FO but I managed to beg her to sell me some...it's FAB and it's called Sunshine

NB. Do not touch hot rods of glass, it is stupid.

Great show, as usual  ;D

In a few weeks we celebrate our Queen's birthday.
Maybe she will wear my flowers, for orange is our national color.  :o
