What is it? Help please.

  Help and advice please.

I bought a mixed unmarked batch of rods from Tuffnells a few weeks ago. Included is a rod of green which looks a solid but when I look down the end it is like a bullseye target with alternate rings of clear and opaque glass. I have just made a simple bead with it and it has come out clear with what look like little bubbles in it. Can anyone tell me what I have got and should I do anything special with it?
