Hi folks,

Would be grateful for any suggestions for this glass, I bought some recently and want to go for it but my mind goes blank every time I hold a rod in my hand and it just gets returned to its holder. Some piccies would be extra extra nice as I'm needing some inspiration to get me going with this!

Thanks
Mel

I made a set a while ago. Light ivory base, then swirled some edp in. Got cerises and purples. Might have a pic somewhere.

To stop it detrifying - when you finish your bead, get it really hot and put in to your kiln.

Made on a hothead, put into vermiculite. Pretty sure they were just ivory and edp, although I can't remember whether the black was black glass or a reaction. I think reaction ???

Wow!  I've got some EDP somewhere, perhaps I'll give it a go.

I mostly use it in small doses - try it as dots on top of various other glasses to see what it reacts with (opal yellow is fab).

I think I remember it doing something with turquoise too.....

The classic combos work around edp, copper green, rubino and opal yellow too.

It also fumes ivory (in the same way that silver can fume but instead of a shiny coat you get a matt finish) it almost ages it.  Gorgeous.

This is EDP, copper green, opal yellow and a bit of silver foil.
Heated it up nearly liquid so that the different glass mix a bit together.

Sorry to sound ignorant but can someone tell me what EDP is ???

It's called Evil Detrifying Purple - it can be a little tricky to work with but is a beautiful glass. The code is 591254 - also look at stripped pink 591253 - very similar!
