Lush!

I've got CIM Sangre, Effetre Dark Red 436 and Effetre Light Red 428 ... no doubt I'm missing a Medium Red!

Do you think any of these reds could be described as London Bus Red?

(Having taken the route master to school for three years) not what you want to hear but I think Rech Strawberry is the closest

Lush!

I really only need a rod and was hoping to make these beads quickly - do you not think any of the reds I've got are suitable?

Dragonfire Glass

there is a poster red which is quite bright

Ooh, difficult one!  Sangre can be nice but not if you are looking for a strong opaque colour.  I think 436 is too dark for a London bus.  I've just done some nice beads with 432 but unless you can magic some from the back of your glassy stash then that doesn't help either  :(

When you say quick do you mean before the weekend or after?

Could you not mix the two eff reds to get a medium  ???

I'm rubbish at mixing!

Krysia, thanks for the offer - I checked the Strawberry on Tuffnells site and it does look like the perfect colour but let me see how my Light Red turns out and if its not right I'll scrounge a rod of Strawberry from you (not by special delivery though, that's daylight robbery for one rod of glass!).

Oh Krysia, I'm sorry, I didn't see your last post.

I just heard back from my lady - she's really happy with the Light Red (and actually, they look fab, very London Bus-like!).

Thanks so much for your offer, I really appreciate it  :-*

Shame I missed this thread. Reich do some smashing reds - if you need a rod of each to try them out, you can always pm me hun.  I'm glad you found a solution though.  Red is my fave colour in glass, but everytime I take a photo it looks carrot red! :-\

Krysia@No98
