Nero Intenso - and lace beads

Just been having a go at lace beads and had no problems when using combos of ivory, periwinkle and light grey.

Decided to try with a green glass and there was no reaction so I have ended up with a relativel unattractive squiggle bead!

Does anyone know if there is a list anywhere which will steer me in the directions of which colours will produce the lace effect and which won't?

Antique (thats the green one not the sparkly one) from Reichenbach make a stunning background too.

It is trial and error I am afraid - rule of thumb is that the softer opaques *lace* more easily than the stiffer transparents -but there are exceptions to this rule too.

What Jo said - I must have literally made 1000s of these - as an example, Effetre grass green doesn't work, but somebody somewhere says 'green' in principle doesn't work (can't remember where), that's not true - Emerald does

I believe that transparent strikers such as reds, yellows & oranges don't work. I have tried sangre and it doesn't work.

Grass green does not work for me, but you can always encase the colour with clear! ...... must try emerald!

*shakes head* Nope no luck with red for me either - tried every kind I could get my hands on! I had never thought of encasing then lacing Trudi - have you tried it?

I tried it with grass green

it worked better on the top two beads!!

It's not the red, it's the CiM - CiM needs thicker stringer to lace Vetrofond Candy Apple laces nicely, but is quite dark, looks beautiful, though. Jungle-whatever-it's called is another green that laces. Don't think I've found a pink or purple that doesn't (though, again, thicker with CiM)
