Vetrofond vs Effetre - your experience please

How does vetrofind compare to effetre for working and colour?

Vetro black is blacker but shockier in my experience

Vetro clear is FAR better than effetre but not the best clear - love Lausha

OOOOH the ultimate question - u'll need to ask a superb encaser - i do like vetro but some lots have been fizzy

I love the Vetrofond colours that I have got and I find them easy to work on my Hothead, I'm planning to buy more soon and they are a bit cheaper I think.

I have a worked with fair bit of Vetrofond and find it quite a nice glass to work with, it seems to be 'creamier' than Effetre, thats the only way I can think to describe the difference, thats the opaques not the transparents, the transparents are much the same.

Colour wise there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of difference between them, working wise, again there isnt a great deal of difference. It's a nice glass but no more special than Effetre.

Vetrofond clear was touted as wonderful sometime back, in reality it isn't that special, I find the new Effetre clear to be the best out of the old Effetre, the Vetrofond and the new Effetre.

I like them both. Some of vetrofond are nicer than effetre and some of effetre are nicer than vetrofond. I do like vetro odd lots!

Its a shame they are odd though isn't it Jammie? It would be nice to have those colours at our fingertips all the time

my vetrofond clear is fizzy and worthless....oo6 effetre clear is great..lauscha is lovely but a bit stiff....but..you will have to check out Corrina's website if you want to know which clear encases silver foil and keeps it silver..x

Posted in the "how much did you spend" (Groan).

I got a load of vetrofond and its all great apart from the black - which is fizzy and going in the bin.

I also got a couple of cheap rods of boro. Got home and just managed to make a bead using it with my Nortel Minor!
