Silvered Ivory

Do you need to use dark or normal ivory to make silvered ivory or do they just come out the same?

I find dark gives more reaction, I think there is more sulphur in it?

dark ivory reacts more with the silver and 'spreads' and webs more

its really good fun, have been silvered ivory obsessed recently! just remember to burnish it! and if you have a rod of coral, you can make silvered coral stringer which has a gorgeous rusty look! (learned that from julie HB couple of weeks ago )

Don't be scared Gemma it's great fun    I love dark ivory silvered or not and can't have a session on the torch without get some ivory out to play with    Just love the effect you get with it.  I made a bead last week with ecko and dark ivory, even hand shaped it to my astonishment it came out fab * well I think so*    Will have to get my camera out and put it on s&t.  Thanks for the tip on silvered coral *puts on my list for next play time*

You can make silvered turquoise too, and avocado. Try it with any opaque and see what happens!
