Do you need to use dark or normal ivory to make silvered ivory or do they just come out the same?

Thanks
Nikki

I find dark gives more reaction, I think there is more sulphur in it?

its really good fun, have been silvered ivory obsessed recently! just remember to burnish it! and if you have a rod of coral, you can make silvered coral stringer which has a gorgeous rusty look! (learned that from julie HB couple of weeks ago ;D)

Don't be scared Gemma it's great fun  ;)  I love dark ivory silvered or not and can't have a session on the torch without get some ivory out to play with  ::)  Just love the effect you get with it.  I made a bead last week with ecko and dark ivory, even hand shaped it to my astonishment it came out fab * well I think so*  :D  Will have to get my camera out and put it on s&t.  Thanks for the tip on silvered coral *puts on my list for next play time*  ;)
Practice and Patience really does pay off!  Beads actually looking good  Yippee  :o

You can make silvered turquoise too, and avocado. Try it with any opaque and see what happens!
