wow - nice!!

I'll have another try using a cooler oxidising flame.

You know from reading the US threads I thougth it almost reacted itself! Obviously needs to be coaxed!  ;)

I'm glad it is not just me - will have another play this weekend - always room for another black bead in the collection though, so not all is lost!  :D

I couldn't do a thing with it on my hothead, very disappointing.  :(

Is the Effetre version the same, does anyone know?

Shirley

Effetre version? Do you mean the silver black? I've got some of both of these but not used them yet.

Donna@Rockin' Beads

I gave it a try tonight. Practically pure oxygen and NO change  :-[ :-[
I am soooo completely rubbish with challenging glass - my Ekho adventures have been a complete waste of time  :( :'(

Trudi

well  I did get a mettalic finish - it was on a spacer bead but it was hard work. I wonder if it will work better if I don't use so much - is just have it as dots like julie's hearts???

Any more tips or suggestions???

I gave it another go yesterday. I tried everything I could think of but can't get anything other than black out of it! More PPP methinks!!  :)

:oOOOOOOOOOOO lovely Julie, the raised dots remind me of haematite. I had a play today and I think I got a result but there was some kind off lacing effect on the bead too?! Will post pics over the weekend as away tomorrow for the night.
spoke too soon, rubbish bead with a burnt middle and no silveryness  :'(

Speaking to Martin at Sandown, apparently CIM think there is an issue with gunmetal not doing what it is supposed to and it may be withdrawn.

Crikey I hope not, I brought one of his big packs of green Cim gunmetals.

perhaps this batch wasn't as good as the others - I've seen some stuff in the US that's brilliant.

At least it's not just me!
