I just thought I'd ask if any of you guys have any experience with this colour ?? .... does it like to react ?? It looks like a lush dark opal yellow.

I'm hoping to save my already limited glass supply from a bunch of failed experiments with this colour.....

Anyone ???

Thanks,
Les xx

tuffnell glass

Hi ,

Yes it looks like opal yellow and better people than me have reported it working like opal yellow too.

Cheers ,

It takes on a pinky blush when used with SIS. I think there were some beads in the CIM S&T comp - Sarah's?

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

My ears are burning  :)

I have these

which also have some red roof tile & wasabi in them

You do get a pinkish blush with SIS.

Heather also has some beauties just with SIS & stoneground. Its reply 492 on page 33 of the CIM comp.

Don't encase it with lauscha - I saw some of the most impressive compatibility cracks ever when I opened the kiln on Monday  :'(

Thanks for your advice Sarah :)

I'm really starting to like this colour... gorgeous beads !!!

Kaz

This was stoneground with SIS and light brown transparent. It took on a bit of the pinky tinge.

I've got a few rods left I think.... when i run low on a colour, I tend to stop using it, incase I mess the beads up and waste the glass, LOL... silly me :)

Lush!

Not silly at all - I've just started a thread about ASK glass for that reason!
