Float Glass / Float Glass that won’t melt!

Hi everyone
I am trying to fuse some small shards of glass from a drinking glass to soften the edges into a tack fuse.  I have tried three different schedules and every time I open the kiln the glass looks exactly the same as it went in, nothing has happened!
Could anyone please help me with a fusing schedule for this. I am literally guessing each time and at the moment I have it in the kiln (Hobbyfuser 3) on the following schedule

250. 638   10
300. 775   30
Full 900.  40
Full 561.  1.00
66.  450.  0.00
End

That's what I use too. I trim them to the length I need and file the cut end to smooth it.
Much cheaper than buying mandrels and they last for absolutely ages.

hi Margam, if you haven't found any yet you could try these, but may have a flattened section at the end that you need to trim off. it's what i use

hi everyone

im looking for a supplier a cabochon mandrels.  we used to buy from someone in russia but they are no longer in business.  we need smaller sizes than most people make (6-8-9-10-11mm)

our business is now expanding and we will be making more beads per day and therefore need a larger stock of mandrels.

if anyone can help i would be very grateful

Around 10 years ago I contributed tutorials to Beads and Beyond. Stupidly I have not kept the magazines and I wondered if anyone here had any issues in their houses somewhere and if they do can you see if you have any with tutorials from me in them
