I want to get a reasonably consistent bicone size, but small and quite thin. Have been looking at the Cattwalk bicone marver - does anyone have one of these? It looks just what I want, but I'm worried it'll still produce a thicker bicone. Any thoughts?!

I had one but found it quite deep. I now have a Perfect Tool radial marver and love it.

Ooh, I looked at that - presumably I'd need the base too, but it does look like it might do just what I want. I did wonder if the Cattwalk bicone was still a bit deep, looks like it might be!

What a pity you didn't ask before the meet at Kaz's as I could have lent you mine to try. I have this one

If you want I could post it out for you to try it, I could manage without it for a few weeks.

Oh, typical!  :D Thanks so much for the offer - I've had a bit of a brainstorm this afternoon and come up with the ultimate makeshift radial bicone, so I'll see how I get on with it, if that's ok. It is a bit large but quite versatile - one of partner's son's thrown-out brass cymbals from his drum kit! I will concede that a purpose-built bicone marver could be a bit easier to fit on the workshop. ;)
