from 1 to 2 oxy concentrators

Does anyone have a Devilbiss mini 44 oxycon that they have hooked up with another oxycon (not devilbiss) to give the power of 2? I'm thinking of doing this but would like to know the opinions of others before I commit. i don't really want to have to buy 2 new oxycons as i would like to upgrade my torch as well, just need more heat and size (now now ladies we're talking torches here.. no giggling)

I have a Tuffnell Puritan Bennett reconditioned oxycon and a Nuvo oxycon bought new, ( which is incidentally started to play up today for the first time. Both feed into the torch on a T shaped connector. Both each deliver about 5lpm to a Carlisle MiniCC torch.

Hi Pat, sorry to hear the oxy con's are playing up, hope it's only a hiccup..... so what do you do when you start up each time ? Do you switch on and balance them as they begin working or is one stronger than the other?

I usually wait until both are showing a green light when both are set to deliver the same amount of oxygen, usually 4.5-5.0
Then I manage the flow through the two nobs on the torch.

Panic over. I suddenly realised late last night that the wall switch on the socket used by the oxycon had rocked slightly. Once I switched the plug over to another socket, the green light came on. Whew.

I know that feeling when you have no idea what can be wrong and start to feel a little ill.....glad it was OK

I had a devibblis and tried to tie it to one of Q's oxies - it didnt work one kept cancelling the other out - I ended up with two the same and it works great now
