Calor gas cylinder

Hi everyone
Sorry to start a new thread as I'm sure that the info is on the board somewhere, but I'm having trouble finding it

I'm getting a new torch on monday, and this is the first foray I've had off my hothead and into the world of dual fuel.

I'll be running a bobcat on an oxycon (kit from tuffnells) and they have told me that they will put all the hosing together for me so that I just need to connect the gas cylinder and go.

Only problem is, I don't know how to make sure I'm buying the right gas cylinder.   We have a Calor supplier just down the road and I have an old 15kg butane cylinder from our barbecue.  They told me I can swap it for anything I need so that shouldn't be a problem.

I know that I need propane instead of butane, but are there different types of connection on the cylinders?  i.e. is it possible for me to buy one, drag it home, and find it won't fit the regulator?  And is the size of cylinder important, or is that down to personal preference on how long you want it to last and the space available?

You need the red propane. Plain orangey/red cylinder. Don't get the one for patio heaters that is green and red.

You want a screw fitting, not the quick-release one. How exciting!
